In Conversation | Immortal Soil

Saturday 31 May 2025
Time: 1.30pm - 3.00pm
Where: Northern Rivers Community Gallery - 44 Cherry Street Ballina
Age: Open to all
Cost: Free to attend. Seating available subject to capacity.

Influenced by the mystery and impermanence of nature, Bob Horan and Selena Murray are the collaborative artist duo Immortal Soil. Working with naturally occurring, often unappreciated materials to create dramatic, large-scale and site-specific botanical sculptures, Immortal Soil pursues and creates worlds within worlds, a blend of nature, emotional fantasy, soundscapes and a retreat from the real world.

Join the artists in conversation with Gallery Coordinator Imbi Davidson, as they discuss their exhibition Den Inception, and their creative practice.

Bob Horan and Selena Murray are Northern NSW-based artists with over thirty years’ experience in flower installation and event production.

This event is free, and registrations are not required. Seating is available subject to capacity.

Immortal Soil’s exhibition Den Inception is on show at the Northern Rivers Community Gallery from 1 May to 22 June 2025.

The Northern Rivers Community Gallery is a wheelchair accessible venue. Please contact us ahead of time if you have accessibility needs you would like us to be aware of.
