Jemima Patch-Taylor has been painting for as long as she can remember.  As a surfer who lives locally, she spends a lot of time in the ocean, observing the ebbs and flows of nature. She grew up in an artistic family and has strong connection to the environment of the Northern Rivers, where she gathers inspiration. Her work is driven not just by the visible, tangible landscape but by the spiritual and visceral connection to it as well. Impressionist and deeply feminine, her paintings are powerful documents of unspoken attachment to the world around us. Patch-Taylor's practice deeply revolves around immersing herself in nature and being near bodies of water. Her dominant medium is oils- either working extremely quickly or layering over the course of weeks.
