Gentle Structure | Jenny Gill Schirmer | 2021 NRCG x BSA Graduate Award Recipient

In Gentle Structure, Schirmer observes the personal, domestic, and public physical spaces we inhabit. Comparisons are drawn with the invisible framework that we exist within - family, community, and society. This exhibition is a quiet contemplation of whether we are free to live gently and playfully despite, or because of, these complex structures that hold us.

Presented in partnership with the Byron School of Art (BSA), this exhibition showcases the work of a recent graduate as part of the NRCG’s Annual Program. Now in its sixth year, the award supports the promotion and professional development of outstanding emerging graduates from the BSA three year course and presents exciting new talents to local audiences.
