Sayer’s portraiture practice challenges her to portray multilayered personalities, to uncover the camouflaged, and depict individuals and lives. Her local portrait subjects Dr Gregory Peel Smith and comedian Mandy Nolan, have both lived incredibly interesting lives. What else do these two have in common? Empathy and they are willing to speak out politically and personally.
