Following the floods in Lismore and the Northern Rivers in 2017, a group of artists from Lismore TAFE have created works that share some of their personal experiences of devastation and recovery. They were all studying or teaching at TAFE in Lismore when the flood inundated the town with two meters of water, destroying student’s homes, ruining artwork and studios, and completely closing the TAFE campus for more than a term. The accessible studios are now buzzing with artists at work, while the rest of the campus has been reopening step by step. ‘Water-Falls’ is a show of works-on-paper.
