LOUD in the Gallery is a dynamic exhibition celebrating National Youth Week, with final year works on showcase from secondary schools in the Ballina Shire.
Students from Alstonville High, Ballina High, Southern Cross School K-12, Xavier Catholic College and the Emmanuel Anglican College will experience their artwork being exhibited in a professional gallery while giving the community a valuable insight into the processes, skills and concepts the students explore in art making.

LOUD in the Gallery – Youth Art Awards
The 2017 LOUD in the Gallery exhibition has been sponsored by local businesses to offer three Youth Art Awards. The three prizes offered will be across Skills Development, Presentation and Materials. The prizes, will be awarded based on the works included in the LOUD in the Gallery exhibition and are as follows:
1. Skills Development: Sponsored by Byron School of Art (BSA) one student will be awarded a Short-course or artist mentorship with BSA.
2. Presentation: Sponsored by Ballina Art and Framing one student will receive professional framing of their work to the value of $250
3. Materials: Sponsored by Byron Arts Magazine (BAM) one student will be awarded an art materials voucher to the value of $100 redeemable at ‘Still @ the Centre’ art supply shop in Byron Bay.
The Youth Art Awards are an exciting addition to the highly successful annual LOUD in the Gallery exhibition providing recognition and acknowledgement to the high level of artistic excellence of local schools and their students.
All awards will be announced at the Exhibition Launch event in the Gallery.
