Olive & the Volcano is a letterpress and print studio founded by Jo and Andy Olive in Northern NSW.

Established in 2013, the studio is an extension of their backgrounds in printmaking and fine art theory, industrial design and graphic arts. It is a studio and an artistic practice that brings together the old and new by embracing and exploring a range of traditional and modern print techniques, hands-on mark making and the handcrafting of items that are equally beautiful and practical.

The origin of their studio name is often inquired about and alludes to their shared story and natural surrounds. Their humble shipping container studio looks out upon the mountain Wollumbin (Mt Warning) the pointed centre of an ancient volcanic crater and is a view and a world that endlessly inspires.
